Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) works by delivering 100% oxygen in a pressurized environment, which allows your lungs to absorb significantly more oxygen than normal. Under pressure, oxygen dissolves directly into your bloodstream and plasma, enabling it to reach areas of the body with limited circulation, inflammation, or tissue damage. This increased oxygen availability supports cellular energy production (ATP), stimulates new blood vessel formation (angiogenesis), enhances immune function, and promotes tissue repair. By improving oxygen delivery at the cellular level, HBOT helps reduce inflammation, accelerate healing, and support the body’s natural recovery processes.
-
Getting started is simple. The first step is to schedule a consultation so we can review your health history, goals, and determine if Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is appropriate for you. During this visit, we’ll explain the process, answer your questions, and create a personalized treatment plan. Once approved, you can begin sessions right away based on availability.
-
Most HBOT sessions last between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on your treatment plan. You’ll relax comfortably in the chamber while breathing concentrated oxygen. The total number of sessions varies based on your condition and goals — some patients benefit from a short series of treatments, while others may require a longer program for optimal results.

Not all hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers are the same — and the pressure level makes a significant difference in therapeutic benefit.
✅ Hard-Sided Medical-Grade Chamber
We use a hard-sided hyperbaric chamber capable of delivering up to 2.0 ATA (atmospheres absolute). This allows for significantly greater oxygen absorption compared to lower-pressure systems.
✅ Higher Therapeutic Pressure
Most soft-sided chambers typically reach only 1.3 ATA, which provides mild oxygen support.
Clinical research and therapeutic protocols commonly begin showing meaningful physiologic benefits at 1.5 ATA and above. At higher pressures:
More oxygen dissolves directly into the plasma
Greater tissue oxygen delivery occurs
Enhanced cellular repair and healing support
More robust anti-inflammatory response
✅ True Therapeutic HBOT — Not Mild Oxygen Therapy
While mild hyperbaric chambers can offer general wellness support, our system is designed to deliver clinical-level therapeutic pressure, allowing you to access deeper, more measurable healing benefits.

To help put this into perspective, pressure increases by about one atmosphere (1 ATA) for every 33 feet of seawater. At sea level, we are at 1.0 ATA. A soft-sided chamber that reaches 1.3 ATA creates pressure similar to being about 10 feet underwater. In contrast, a medical-grade chamber operating at 2.0 ATA produces pressure comparable to being about 33 feet underwater. That significant difference in pressure allows substantially more oxygen to dissolve directly into the bloodstream and plasma, which enhances tissue oxygen delivery and supports a stronger therapeutic effect.
Under normal conditions (breathing room air at 1.0 ATA), most oxygen is carried by red blood cells, and only a small amount dissolves directly into plasma.
When breathing 100% oxygen:
At 1.3 ATA, the amount of oxygen dissolved into plasma increases modestly.
At 2.0 ATA, the amount of oxygen dissolved into plasma increases dramatically — often delivering roughly 2–3 times more dissolved oxygen than 1.3 ATA.
To put it simply:
While 1.3 ATA provides mild oxygen enrichment, 2.0 ATA significantly increases the amount of oxygen that can dissolve directly into the blood plasma, allowing oxygen to reach tissues with poor circulation, inflammation, or injury much more effectively.
The key difference isn’t just “more oxygen in the lungs” — it’s how much oxygen is forced into solution under pressure, and that effect increases nonlinearly as pressure rises.

What is HBOT?
HBOT stands for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. During HBOT your body is effectively saturated with oxygen, an essential element used by your body for healing. HBOT provides oxygen to cells and tissues that suffer from a lack of oxygen. Healing tissues suffering from hypoxia are unable to heal themselves as effectively as when they have oxygen. Most cells in areas of swelling or other types of injury are suffering from hypoxia. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy also boosts the abilities of the immune system by accelerating the creation of new white blood cells, the sentinel of the blood stream.
How does HBOT work?
During HBOT, the patient is placed in a chamber that allows the body to be brought to greater-than-normal atmospheric pressure. Under this pressure, the patient breathes 100% oxygen, which first fills the red blood cells in the bloodstream, then continues to flow bloodstream and is absorbed directly into the plasma. The increased atmospheric pressure facilitates oxygen absorption. The dissolved oxygen in the plasma is more readily available for use by the cells in the body, little is required to remove the oxygen from the red blood cells. HBOT is a process that floods the body with oxygen so that it may more readily heal itself. Most of the reported benefits of HBOT start at 1.5 atmospheres of pressure. Our machine ranges from 1.3 - 2 atmospheres of pressure.
What to expect in the chamber
During hyperbaric treatment, the chamber is pressurized slowly, if feels pressure changes as if you are in an airplane. It is not uncommon to feel this pressure change pain (most will not), it is important to pop your ears as you feel the pressure on them. We do allow gum in the chamber to help with comfort during the pressure changes. You are also able to adjust the speed of the pressure by opening and closing the release valve. Once the pressure is reached you will feel comfortable as if you were at atmospheric pressure.
Inside the chamber you have an intercom that connects to a phone outside the chamber as well a walkie talkie with a connecting one at our front desk.
The following are some recommendations for your sessions:
Wear comfortable clothing
Wear socks
Use the bathroom prior to your session
Consider meditating, reading, or listen to music or podcast
Bring a blanket if you tend to get cold easily
Bring gum to help keep your ears clear
DO NOT drink caffeine prior to use
It is recommended 5 sessions per week for best results for chronic conditions
You should NOT use HBOT if you have any of the following:
Recent ear surgery, injury, or infection
Cold or fever
Claustrophobia
Optic neuritis
Recent eye surgery
Chronic sinusitis
Untreated pneumothorax
Untreated asthma or an acute asthma attack within the previous 24 hours
Seizure disorder
Emphysema
Aneurysm
Glaucoma
Pregnancy
Severe heart or lung disease
Congenital spherocystosis
Currently taking Cisplatinum, Disulphiram, or Doxorubicin
